Biomedical Services

A part of OSF HealthCare's own family of services, OSF Equipment Technology Services (ETS) is this region's leader in service, maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment. We work with all types of medical equipment, including x-ray, surgical items, rehabilitation equipment and more. We are one of this area's only providers of service and maintenance for AED (Automated External Defibrillator) units.

We currently staff nine technicians, each specially trained and certified for service and repair. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week for emergency service and repair, we service equipment throughout the state of Illinois. Our services are also available to sites located out of state.

Don't wait for an emergency to call ETS. Our preventive maintenance programs are designed to fit your site's specific needs. Regularly scheduled visits help ensure that your equipment is working at optimum performance and can help detect problems early before major repair or replacement costs are incurred. In some cases, risk-sharing preventive maintenance programs are available on long-term contracts with ETS.

Biomedical Staffing Services

Our highly-trained biomedical staff can be contracted out to service your equipment on- site. Currently, we provide this service to several central Illinois facilities that do not have biomedical technicians. Our staff can also fill in during vacations or illness.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Inspections and Maintenance

With the increased number of AED units installed in medical facilities, schools, churches, athletic facilities, golf courses, and even in many homes and workplaces, the demand for regular checkups and maintenance of these units is on the rise.
